New Channel Notification:

On March 31, 2021, the following channel will be added to the ACCESS package in the TDS TV+ line-up:

  • Cozi TV on channel 11

  • True Crime Network on channel 12

  • Quest on channel 15

  • Estrella on channel 32

  • This TV on channel 35

  • Comet TV on channel 36

Commercial customers this channel will appear in the all available packages:

  • Cozi TV on channel 11

  • True Crime Network on channel 12

  • Quest on channel 15

  • Estrella on channel 32

  • This TV on channel 35

  • Comet TV on channel 36

 

New Channel Notification:

On March 10, 2021, the following channel will be added to the ACCESS package in the TDS TV+ line-up:

  • Daystar on channel 89

Commercial customers, this channel will appear in all available packages:

  • Daystar on channel 89 in the News and Information package

New Channel Notification:

On March 10, 2021, the following channel will be added to the BASIC  package in the TDS TV line-up:

  • Daystar on channel 295/695HD

Commercial customers, this channel will appear in all available packages:

  • Daystar on channel 295/695HD

Package Change Notification:

On 1/6/2021, Boomerang on channel 93 (SD) will move from the Expanded Basic Package to the Digital Family Package.

Channel Notification:

TDS is actively negotiating with a variety of programmers to secure agreements, which would allow continued carriage of channels on the TDS lineup. If agreements aren’t reached, you could lose programming on certain channels. Currently TDS is negotiating with the following programmers: 

 

  • Univision 
  • Fox News and Fox Business
  • Root Sports

What happens if broadcast fee and negotiations fail?

Sometimes during negotiations, broadcast retransmission negotiations, local cable providers can’t come to an agreement with corporate broadcasters and/or networks. This happens when the broadcasters and/or networks are looking to maximize their income by asking for increased rates from local cable providers. 

When disputes occur, popular networks or local channels are taken off the air to negotiate deals in their favor. In other words: channel blackouts. Channel blackouts can happen anywhere with any provider.
